Watermelon Mojitos…for breakfast?


Mmmm. I love watermelons as breakfast for a monomeal, but there’s something amazing about blending them up into a ice cold slush.


This breakfast smoothie/juice is so easy, but delicious and hydrating!



  • 1-2 lbs of watermelon, refrigerated overnight
  • 5 mint sprigs (about 15 mint leaves)
  • 1 inch of ginger, peeled and julienned
  • Ice, optional



Muddle mint and ginger at the bottom of the jar with the end of a wooden spoon or straw (my glass one is from GlassDharma for whoever is interested). Blend watermelon until completely smooth and pour over ice, if using. Stir and enjoy!

NOTE: This is nearly like a smoothie, in terms of consistency, however straining it would make it into a smoother juice. Either way, both are delicious!
